• The Diocese of Dallas hosts the Reverend Thomas Cloherty Religion Scholar Bowl competition every year during Catholic Schools Week. Students demonstrate their knowledge of scripture, church teachings, lives of saints, and the regular 5^th-8^th grades Religion Core Curriculum. The competition consists of two rounds and a possible tie-breaker where students answer multiple choice questions.
  
  HFCA students consistently have done well in this competition and in 2016 was honored to make it to the final round.
